 BALIK LANUZA 2012

The municipality of Lanuza, through the leadership of Hon. Mayor Salvacion S. Azarcon, will be spearheading an activity that will encourage Lanuzanhons, who are now successfully living in other countries, to go back to their beloved hometown. The activity, to be held before the feast day of Saint Anthony de Padua on June 13, 2012, is dubbed as “Balik Lanuza 2012” with a theme of “Balik Sa Yutang Natawhan, Pakig Abi-abi Ug Pakighimamat Sa Imong Kagikan”. With this event, ties and friendship will hopefully be renewed and deepened.
The activity was first successfully conducted years ago which was also attended by balikbayans of the town. Also, this is in preparation of the forthcoming Lanuza centennial celebration on 2017. The activity is conceptualized by the local officials and supported by the Municipal Tourism Council. It is hoped that with this event the tourism promotion of Lanuza, as one of the best places to be visited, will be boosted.
After a series of meetings and brainstorming, the following are the activities:
